NFL DFS, Week 3: Best DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy football picks, stacks, lineup advice

Deciding between two top receivers on the same team is the difference between winning and losing NFL DFS lineups. Amari Cooper was Dak Prescott’s favorite in Week 1, but CeeDee Lamb received more looks the following week. In Tennessee, A.J. Brown won the target battle in Week 1, but he had three drops and was outplayed by Julio Jones last Sunday. Many of those tandems are listed closely together in the Week 3 NFL DFS player pool, but Seattle’s Tyler Lockett is $800 more than D.K. Metcalf on FanDuel

Although Lockett has outproduced Metcalf thus far, they both have the same number of targets through two games. Opportunity for any NFL DFS QB, RB, WR or TE picks has to be a top consideration, and saving capital by not spending more for the same number of targets or carries could help build better NFL DFS lineups. Before locking in any NFL DFS picks for the Week 3 NFL schedule on sites like DraftKings and FanDuel, be sure to check out the NFL DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy football picks from SportsLine’s Mike McClure.

McClure is a legendary professional DFS player with almost $2 million in career winnings. His methodology has led to enormous cashes on FanDuel and DraftKings. He took down two high-stakes tournaments on FanDuel in 2020 and recorded a pair top-10 finishes in tournaments with over 130,000 entrants on DraftKings. His lineups also finished inside the top 1 percent in more than a dozen other tournaments last season.

He uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every snap of NFL action, taking factors such as matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account. This allows him to find the best DFS values that he shares only with members at SportsLine.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Week 3 NFL schedule and locked in his top daily Fantasy football picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NFL DFS picks for Week 3

One of McClure’s top NFL DFS picks for Week 3 is Rams wide receiver Robert Woods. Fellow St. Louis receiver Cooper Kupp has separated himself from his counterpart, but Woods has a chance to put himself back on the map this week. So far this season, Tampa Bay has allowed the tenth most air yards to opposing offenses, which is good news for Woods, who averaged 9.2 air yards before the catch last week.

Tampa has given up plenty of points to opposing receivers, and its secondary became thinner after Sean Murphy-Bunting injured his elbow in Week 1. If Woods can find himself lined up across from Jamel Dean, he has a chance to succeed on Sunday. Dean has allowed catches on 63.6 percent of passes thrown at him and 10.4 yards per completion.

Part of McClure’s optimal NFL DFS strategy also includes rostering Seahawks receiver DK Metcalf ($7,300 DraftKings, $7,200 FanDuel), who has 113 receiving yards and a touchdown on the season. Seattle takes on the Vikings in Week 3 and Metcalf shredded Minnesota last season, totaling 93 yards and two touchdowns on six receptions.

The Vikings apparently haven’t improved their pass defense any this season as opposing receivers are still running through their secondary. Minnesota has already allowed 473 yards to opposing receivers, which is the third-most in the NFL, and the five TDs its allowed is the second-most in the league. Metcalf should go off again against a defense that could struggle to get a pass rush without Anthony Barr (knee) and Everson Griffen (concussion), so you can see why McClure is high on him.

How to set NFL DFS lineups for Week 3

McClure is also targeting an undervalued player who is set to explode for huge numbers on Sunday. This pick could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing. You can only see who it is here.
