How to watch Pacers vs. 76ers basketball game

Through 1 Quarter

The Indiana Pacers are flexing their muscles against the Philadelphia 76ers, showing why they were favored to win all along. Indiana is way out in front after one quarter with a 38-25 lead over Philadelphia.

The Pacers have enjoyed the tag-team combination of power forward Domantas Sabonis and small forward Justin Holiday. The former has 13 points and two assists in addition to three rebounds, while the latter has 13 points. Power forward Tobias Harris has done his best for the Sixers, currently boasting 17 points (68% of their total) along with five boards.

If the contest were over now, this would be Indiana’s biggest margin of victory yet this year.

What to Know

The Indiana Pacers will be returning home after a four-game road trip. They will take on the Philadelphia 76ers at 7 p.m. ET Saturday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Indiana should still be riding high after a win, while Philadelphia will be looking to get back in the win column.

While not quite a landslide, the contest between the Pacers and the Utah Jazz on Thursday was still a pretty decisive one as Indiana wrapped it up with a 111-100 victory on the road. Indiana can attribute much of their success to point guard Malcolm Brogdon, who had 30 points along with nine rebounds, and point guard T.J. McConnell, who had 21 points and five assists in addition to eight boards.

Meanwhile, the Sixers were within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap on Thursday as they fell 115-109 to the Toronto Raptors. Despite the loss, Philadelphia got a solid performance out of point guard Tyrese Maxey, who had 33 points and five assists.

Indiana is the favorite in this one, with an expected 3.5-point margin of victory. But bettors beware: they are only 2-4 against the spread when favored.

The Pacers’ win brought them up to 5-8 while the Sixers’ defeat pulled them down to a reciprocal 8-5. Two stats to keep an eye on: Indiana enters the game with 6.31 blocked shots per game on average, good for second best in the league. Philadelphia is not quite as good, but they are no chumps, either: they come into the matchup boasting the fourth most blocked shots per game in the league at 6.23. Points in the paint might be hard to come by.
