Phil Mickelson, 50, wins PGA Championship to become oldest major champion in golf history


Phil Mickelson finished at 6-under 282 to win the PGA Championship, outlasting Brooks Koepka and Louis Oosthuizen on Sunday at the Ocean Course to claim his sixth career major championship and first since 2013.

At 50, Mickelson becomes the oldest major champion in golf history.

It is Mickelson’s second PGA Championship, joining his victory at Baltusrol in 2005.

His six major wins are tied for 12th-most all time.

Mickelson carded a final-round 1-over 73. Koepka and Oosthuizen tied for second, finishing 2 strokes back at 4-under 284.
