Texans vs. Cardinals odds, picks, line, how to watch, live stream: Model reveals 2021 Week 7 NFL predictions

Two of the dozen NFL teams that have never won a Super Bowl will meet on Sunday, although only one has a realistic chance of making it to Super Bowl LVI this season. The Arizona Cardinals (6-0) are the league’s last unbeaten team, while the Houston Texans (1-5) are one of six squads with one or fewer wins. Arizona is coming off a 23-point stomping of the Browns in Cleveland, while Houston was on the receiving end of a 28-point beatdown at the hands of the Colts. You can stream the game in select markets on Paramount+.

Texans vs. Cardinals will kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET from State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. Caesars Sportsbook lists Arizona as 20-point favorites in the latest Cardinals vs. Texans odds, while the over-under is 47.5. In select markets, Sunday’s matchup can be seen live on CBS and streamed live on Paramount+ with their must-have Premium plan.

Week 7 NFL picks for Cardinals vs. Texans

Before you tune in to Sunday’s Texans vs. Cardinals game, you need to see the NFL picks from SportsLine’s advanced computer model. The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up almost $7,700 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception six-plus years ago. It went a sizzling 24-14 on top-rated NFL picks last season, returning more than $800. The model also enters Week 7 of the 2021 season on an incredible 125-85 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season.

The model also ranked in the top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past five years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94 percent of CBS Sports Football Pick’em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is way up.

For Cardinals vs. Texans, the model is backing the over (47.5) to hit. With the teams projected to combine for 52 points, SportsLine’s model has the over hitting in almost 60 percent of simulations.

Houston has struggled versus all different types of quarterbacks this year but especially against mobile ones like Murray. The Texans have allowed a league-high four rushing touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks, not to mention their struggles at defending the pass. The model projects Murray to light up Houston with over 300 yards through the air and three total touchdowns.

Meanwhile, the model is taking into account that Arizona’s best defensive player, Chandler Jones, will not play and remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list. His absence will allow more time for Davis Mills, who has looked competent in the pocket when given protection. Also, Jones not being on the field hurts the Cardinals’ run defense, which was leaky to begin with. Arizona is allowing the second-most yards per carry in the league and the model has Houston exceeding its season average by putting up over 4.0 yards per attempt.
