The Cleveland Browns have a different look for Sunday night’s Week 12 showdown with the Baltimore Ravens, bringing back a look they wore in their first season as a franchise. Cleveland is wearing its alternate 75th anniversary throwbacks in Sunday’s game against Baltimore, the uniforms dating back to 1946 — their first season as a professional football team.
Per the NFL rulebook, each club can wear a league-approved optional uniform for up to three games in the regular season, and an unlimited number of games during the preseason. The Browns have worn these once already in 2021 and will announce the third time they’ll don the uniform at a later date this season.
The jerseys feature the team’s official 1946 patch. The helmets have a white stripe down the middle with the players’ respective numbers on the side and gray face masks to signal all the different uniform combinations in Browns history. The uniform also features the Browns’ present day white pants, which have a brown stripe in the middle of two orange stripes running down the side. The uniforms also feature socks that have three brown stripes and two orange stripes.
The Browns have not announced if they will wear these jerseys past this season.
