Yancy Medeiros vs. Damir Hadzovic pulled from UFC Vegas 27


The lightweight fight between Yancy Medeiros and Damir Hadzovic has been scrapped from Saturday night’s UFC Vegas 27 card taking place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

UFC officials confirmed the news to MMA Fighting on Saturday.

Details surrounding the fight cancellation have not been revealed, although numerous bouts over the past year after been pulled on the day of the event due to COVID-19 protocols but there’s been no official confirmation yet.

After dropping three fights in a row, Medeiros was looking to get back on track while also competing on the final bout of his current contract with the UFC. Prior to those three losses, Medeiros had rattled off three straight wins including a pair of knockouts over Alex Oliveira and Erick Silva.

As for Hadzovic, he was also attempting to return to the win column after dropping his past two fights in a row overall. Hadzovic is 2-2 in his past four fights in the UFC.

With Medeiros vs. Hadzovic cancelled, the UFC Vegas 27 card will now move forward with 12 total fights with the event airing on ESPN+.
