Week 1 NFL picks, 2021 best bets from legendary expert: This three-way football parlay pays 6-1

Teams expected to contend for the AFC title collide when the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cleveland Browns open the season on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo. The game is a rematch of the divisional round playoff game from last season in which Kansas City outlasted Cleveland, 22-17. The Chiefs are six-point favorites in the Week 1 NFL odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the over-under for total points scored is 54.5.

The game is one of 16 on the Week 1 NFL schedule. Other NFL games this week include two division winners in the NFC from last season, the Packers and Saints, and two division winners in the AFC, the Bills and Steelers. Hammer enters the Week 1 NFL schedule on an incredible run: Since Nov. 17, 2019, he is 50-35-5 on his NFL best bets, turning a profit of $1,170.

This is the same handicapper who enjoyed 15 winning seasons in his 17-year ESPN run. In 2017, Hammer competed against 10 top handicappers in the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s NFL Challenge and beat them all, finishing 50-29-6 in against-the-spread NFL picks. Anyone who has followed him is way up.

Now, Hammer has locked in three confident best bets for Week 1. If you parlay his picks, you could be looking at a 6-1 payout. You can only see them here

Top Week 1 NFL expert picks

Breaking down the Week 1 NFL spreads, Goldberg is high on the San Francisco 49ers (-7.5) covering against the Detroit Lions. The Niners reached the Super Bowl two seasons ago, but suffered from injuries last year and finished 6-10, well out of the playoff chase. Meanwhile the Lions went 5-11 during a 2020 season in which they fired coach Matt Patricia. Former Detroit tight end Dan Campbell was hired as Patricia’s replacement in January.

Hammer spoke with a member of Nick Bosa’s family and was told that he has recovered from the torn ACL in his left knee that forced the pass rushing freak to miss most of the 2020 season. Goldberg expects him to harass new Lions quarterback Jared Goff. “The [49ers] are healthy again, and I think they will get back to their winning ways,” Goldberg told SportsLine.
