MLB DFS: Top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy baseball picks, strategy, advice for September 10, 2021

The Arizona Diamondbacks have yet to name their starting pitcher for tonight’s matchup against the Seattle Mariners, but that may not even make a difference to Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger. The 30-year-old right fielder is on a six-game hit streak and could provide big value in Friday’s MLB DFS player pool with the recent success he’s had against Arizona. Earlier this month against the D-backs, Haniger had four runs, four walks, three RBI and a home run.

Overall, Haniger has batting splits of .308/.400/.423 in his last six games and is a cheaper option than Arizona star Ketel Marte. In the teams’ earlier series, Marte hit just .154 in 15 plate appearances. Saving money on savvier MLB DFS picks to spend big in other areas is key with the full slate of games on Friday’s schedule. Before making the final call on your MLB DFS lineups make sure you check out the MLB DFS advice, strategy and projections from SportsLine daily Fantasy expert Mike McClure.

McClure is a daily Fantasy pro who has won almost $2 million in his career. And when it comes to daily Fantasy baseball, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the book “Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune” as a top MLB DFS player, McClure’s proprietary projection model simulates each game 10,000 times, taking factors such as matchups and recent results into account. This allows him to find the best values on every site.

On Thursday, McClure recommended Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman as one of his top MLB DFS picks. The result: Freeman went 2-for-5 with a double and a home run that brought home 27.9 points on FanDuel and 21 points on DraftKings. Those that included him in their lineup were well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, with the 2021 MLB season rolling on, McClure has locked in his top MLB daily Fantasy picks for Friday. Head to SportsLine now to see them

McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for September 10, 2021

One of McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Friday is Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette ($4,000 on FanDuel, $5,400 on DraftKings). Bichette is coming off his best game in the last two weeks, as he went 3-for-5 against the Yankees with a home run and two RBI on Thursday.

Bichette only has two at bats against Baltimore probable starter Chris Ellis in one previous meeting, but his recent hot streak at the plate may make the matchup a moot point. Over his last 13 games, Bichette has a .345 batting average with two homers, four doubles, six RBI and three stolen bases. Over the last week, his OPS has been .923 — significantly higher than his season average of .798.

Key to McClure’s optimal MLB DFS strategy is Tampa Bay first baseman Jordan Luplow ($2,200 on FanDuel, $3,000 on DraftKings). Luplow is a reasonable value after putting up double-digit DFS points in his last three games on both DraftKings and FanDuel.

On Tuesday, Luplow broke out with a huge game in Boston, highlighted by a seventh-inning home run that scored two others. He also finished the game with a double and another run to finish with 37.9 points on FanDuel and 28 on DraftKings. Luplow’s career average against Detroit probable starter Matthew Boyd is a modest .250, but he has two home runs and four RBI against him in 16 total at-bats.

How to set your MLB DFS lineups for September 10, 2021

McClure is also targeting an undervalued player who is set to explode for huge numbers on Friday. The stars are aligning for him to return tournament-winning value and he comes at a price that won’t break the bank. You can only see who it is here.
