The showdown between No. 1 Alabama and No. 15 Texas A&M has been selected as the SEC on CBS Game of the Week for Saturday, Oct. 9. Kickoff time for the massive SEC West matchup is slated for 8 p.m. ET. The Crimson Tide are rolling with an unblemished record after taking home the national title last season. The Aggies came into the season with national title hopes, but fell to No. 8 Arkansas last week in Arlington, Texas.

It should be an interesting test for an Aggies defense that entered Week 4 with the best pass defense in the country. The Razorbacks threw for 246 yards at an eye-popping 12.9 yards per attempt against that very group, and Alabama quarterback Bryce Young will be coming into College Station with a ton of confidence.

The game between the Crimson Tide and Aggies will be the second half of an SEC on CBS doubleheader that kicks off at 3:30 p.m. ET. The games under consideration for that time slot are No. 2 Georgia at No. 22 Auburn and No. 8 Arkansas at No. 12 Ole Miss. The matchup will be announced at a later date.

Here’s a look at the rest of the SEC’s kickoff times and television assignments for Week 6 (all times Eastern).
