After initially being a game-time decision, Raiders running back Josh Jacobs will be on the field for Monday night’s game against the Chargers. The 2020 Pro Bowler has missed the Raiders’ last two games with an ankle injury. Jacobs was labeled as questionable on the Raiders’ final injury report after being limited in practice all week.

Before suffering his injury, Jacobs ran for 34 yards and two scores in the Raiders’ Week 1 win over the Ravens. Despite Jacobs’ absence, the Raiders are off to a 3-0 start after defeating Pittsburgh in Week 2 and Miami in Week 3. Peyton Barber emerged as the Raiders’ primary running back in Jacobs’ absence. Barber currently leads Las Vegas with 143 yards on 36 carries. Kenyan Drake is currently second on the team with 44 yards on 21 carries.

The 24th overall pick in the 2019 draft, Jacobs rushed for 1,150 yards and seven touchdowns in 13 games as a rookie. In 15 games last season, Jacobs ran for 1,065 yards and 12 touchdowns while earning his first Pro Bowl selection.

Jacobs and the Raiders are facing a Chargers defense that is last in the NFL in rushing yards allowed (510) and yards-per-carry allowed (5.8). Los Angeles allowed Tony Pollard and Ezekiel Elliott to run for a combined 180 yards and two touchdowns in Week 2. Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire rumbled for 100 yards on 17 carries in the Chargers’ Week 3 win over Kansas city.

Los Angeles is a three-point favorite over the Raiders, according to Caesars Sportsbook, with the Over/Under set at 51.5 points.
