Florida Atlantic vs. UTEP: How to watch live stream, TV channel, NCAA Football start time

Through 3 Quarters

The Florida Atlantic Owls are just one quarter away from delivering their fans the win they’ve been expecting all week. Sitting on a score of 21-10, they have looked like the better team out there today, but there’s still one more quarter to play.

Florida Atlantic has been riding high on the performance of RB Johnny Ford, who has punched in one rushing touchdown. No one has had a standout game offensively for the UTEP Miners, but they have gotten one touchdown from QB Gavin Hardison.

This is the least points UTEP has had yet this season going into the fourth quarter.

Current Records: UTEP 6-1; Florida Atlantic 4-3

What to Know

The UTEP Miners have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. UTEP and the Florida Atlantic Owls will face off in a Conference USA battle at 6 p.m. ET Saturday at FAU Stadium. These two teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.

The Miners didn’t have too much trouble with the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs at home two weeks ago as they won 19-3. The team ran away with 16 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those in the second to pick up the victory. UTEP’s WR Jacob Cowing did his thing and caught nine passes for 166 yards.

Meanwhile, the Charlotte 49ers typically have all the answers at home, but last Thursday Florida Atlantic proved too difficult a challenge. Everything went Florida Atlantic’s way against Charlotte as they made off with a 38-9 win. The score was close at the half, but the Owls pulled away in the second half with 31 points.

The Miners are the clear underdogs, so they’re hoping it’s the size of the fight that determines this one. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread, however, as they are currently on a four-game streak of ATS wins.

The wins brought UTEP up to 6-1 and Florida Atlantic to 4-3. Two stats to keep an eye on: UTEP is 226th worst in the nation in thrown interceptions, having thrown eight on the season. Florida Atlantics have had an even harder time: they are stumbling into the matchup with the 136th most thrown interceptions in the nation, having thrown four on the season. It’s possible one of these Achilles’ heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
