Altuve has a history of showing up when the chips are down for the Astros. When Tampa Bay jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the ALCS last season, he responded with a double, a home run and two RBI in a must-win Game 4. In this year’s ALCS against Boston, he popped off with a home run, walk and another hit in Game 4 after Houston went down 2-1 in the series. Altuve is a career .288 hitter in the postseason with a .920 OPS percentage, and needs to step up again in an elimination game on Sunday.

In a June 3 start before that, he had five walks in 5.2 innings pitched against Washington, so Bregman should be in for a slump-buster type of game with a favorable matchup.
