Eastern Michigan vs. Ohio: How to watch online, live stream info, game time, TV channel

Who’s Playing

Ohio @ Eastern Michigan

Current Records: Ohio 2-7; Eastern Michigan 6-3

What to Know

The Eastern Michigan Eagles will be returning home after a two-game road trip. The Eagles and the Ohio Bobcats will face off in a Mid-American battle at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday at Rynearson Stadium. These two teams are tiptoeing into their matchup after sneaking past their previous opponents.

Things were close when EMU and the Toledo Rockets clashed on Tuesday, but EMU ultimately edged out the opposition 52-49. EMU’s victory was all the more impressive since Toledo was averaging only 18.25 points allowed on the season. Eastern Michigan’s WR Hassan Beydoun was one of the most active players for the team, catching 12 passes for two TDs and 197 yards. One of the most thrilling moments was Beydoun’s 64-yard TD reception in the third quarter.

EMU’s defense was a presence as well, as it embarrassed the Rockets’ offensive line to sack QB Dequan Finn six times for a total loss of 32 yards. Leading the way was DL Jose Ramirez and his three sacks. Ramirez now has seven sacks through nine games.

Speaking of close games: Ohio squeaked by the Miami (OH) RedHawks by less than a field goal, winning 35-33. RB De’Montre Tuggle and QB Kurtis Rourke were among the main playmakers for the Bobcats as the former punched in two rushing touchdowns in addition to snatching one receiving TD and the latter passed for three TDs and 288 yards on 32 attempts in addition to picking up 45 yards on the ground.

The Eagles are now 6-3 while Ohio sits at 2-7. A couple defensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: EMU is stumbling into the contest with the 230th most rushing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up 20 on the season. Ohios have had an even harder time: they are 223rd worst in the nation in rushing touchdowns allowed, with 19 on the season. It’s possible one of these Achilles’ heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
