The Orlando Magic will be returning home after a five-game road trip. Orlando and the Charlotte Hornets will face off in a Southeast Division battle at 7 p.m. ET Wednesday at Amway Center. Charlotte will be strutting in after a win while the Magic will be stumbling in from a defeat.
It looks like Orlando got the smaller half of the wishbone at Thanksgiving dinner. They took a serious blow against the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday, falling 123-92. Orlando was in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 77-36. The top scorer for Orlando was center Moe Wagner (18 points).
Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards typically have all the answers at home, but on Monday the Hornets proved too difficult a challenge. Charlotte managed a 109-103 victory over the Wizards. Charlotte can attribute much of their success to shooting guard Terry Rozier, who shot 8-for-11 from downtown and finished with 32 points.
The Magic are expected to lose this next one by 7.5. Their home court has been no bettor’s paradise, as they’ve failed to beat the spread in six of their seven home games.
Orlando is now 4-14 while the Hornets sit at 11-8. A pair of offensive stats to keep an eye on: Orlando has only been able to knock down 41.50% percent of their shots, which is the third lowest field goal percentage in the league. Charlotte’s offense has more to brag about, as they they come into the matchup boasting the third most points per game in the league at 112.2. So the cards are definitely stacked in their favor.
