Atlanta kept things close, but were left with a 98-96 loss against the Philadelphia 76ers this past Friday. Point guard Trae Young, finished with a double-double on 25 points and 10 assists, and forward Danilo Gallinari had a strong outing with 18 points along with eight rebounds.

The Hawks could be as hindered by injuries as Charlotte is due to health and protocol issues. Young is questionable for the game with soreness in his left knee. Top rotation player Cam Reddish has been battling through a variety of injury and illness problems, Bogdan Bogdanovic (ankle) remains out, and Kevin Huerter is (quad) is also questionable. The Hawks were already without forward De’Andre Hunter, who has been out since mid-November following surgery for a wrist injury.

What you need to know about the Hornets

Charlotte came close but couldn’t overcome the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday in a 127-125 loss. Charlotte was up 41-25 at the end of the first quarter but couldn’t hold on to the lead. Charlotte’s loss came about despite a quality game from point guard LaMelo Ball, who shot 8-for-15 from beyond the arc and finished with 36 points, nine assists and five boards.

Ball won’t be on the floor on Sunday, however. He, Terry Rozier, Mason Plumlee and Jalen McDaniels were all entered into the league’s health and safety protocols on Saturday. Just that quickly, Hornets head coach James Borrego needs to figure out how to replace the 50 points per game that was just removed from his rotation.
