One of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for Friday includes Charlotte breakout star Miles Bridges at $7,700 on DraftKings and $8,400 on FanDuel. As the Hornets continue to play without several top scorers out due to health and safety protocols, Bridges remains the team’s top offensive threat. He’s averaged 22.5 points and six rebounds per game over his last four, and has shot 54.8 percent from the field in that stretch.
Charlotte plays Sacramento on Friday, and in two games against the Kings last season, Bridges made 75 percent of his shots to average 11.5 points and six rebounds. Terence Davis has been a solid defender for the Kings this season, but the platoon of he and Buddy Hield allowed Orlando Magic rookie Franz Wagner to score 19 points on 5-of-10 shooting on Wednesday.
Another part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering Lakers F/C Anthony Davis at $9,600 on DraftKings and $10,000 on FanDuel. Since missing a start on November 24 (illness), Davis has averaged 23 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in six games. The Lakers had a rough go at it on Thursday night against Memphis in a 108-95 loss, but Davis led all Lakers on offense with 22 points and eight rebounds.
Davis has two starts in the second games of back-to-backs this season, and has enjoyed his highest usage rate (29 percent) and points per game average (25 ppg) in those games. On Friday, the Lakers play the Thunder, who have already beat them twice this season. However, Davis averaged 29.5 points and 13 rebounds in those contests, so he should be ready to go again tonight.
