The Drake Bulldogs will take on the Clemson Tigers at 2 p.m. ET on Saturday at State Farm Arena. Drake will be strutting in after a win while Clemson will be stumbling in from a defeat.
The Bulldogs beat the Nebraska Omaha Mavericks 78-70 on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Clemson was within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap on Saturday as they fell 80-75 to the Miami (Fla.) Hurricanes. Clemson got double-digit scores from four players: forward PJ Hall (18), guard Chase Hunter (15), guard David Collins (15), and forward Hunter Tyson (10). Hall had some trouble finding his footing against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights last week, so this was a step in the right direction.
Drake is now 6-3 while the Tigers sit at 5-4. Clemson’s offense has more to brag about, as they they rank 31st in college basketball when it comes to field goal percentage, with 48.80% on the season.
