What to Know

After a four-game homestand, the Oklahoma City Thunder will be on the road. They and the Memphis Grizzlies will compete for holiday cheer at 8 p.m. ET Monday at FedExForum. The Thunder will be strutting in after a win while Memphis will be stumbling in from a defeat.

OKC escaped with a win this past Saturday against the Los Angeles Clippers by the margin of a single free throw, 104-103. OKC can attribute much of their success to small forward Luguentz Dort, who had 29 points in addition to five rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Grizzlies were within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap on Sunday as they fell 105-100 to the Portland Trail Blazers. One thing holding the Grizz back was the mediocre play of small forward Desmond Bane, who did not have his best game: he finished with only nine points on 4-for-12 shooting in his 33 minutes on the court.

OKC is expected to lose this next one by 8.5. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread, however, as they are currently on a two-game streak of ATS wins.

OKC took a serious blow against Memphis in the teams’ previous meeting earlier this month, falling 152-79. Can Oklahoma City avenge their loss, or is history doomed to repeat itself? We’ll soon find out.
