The 29-year old star outfielder posted footage of the impressive accomplishment on social media, which included the final of his 12 strikes that completed the perfect game.
“Just call me Mr. 300,” Betts could be heard saying in the clip.
While this may come as a surprise to some, Betts is no stranger when it comes to hitting the lanes. Back in 2017, Betts also bowled a perfect game while he was still a member of the Boston Red Sox.
In 2019, Betts participated in Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul’s PBA Celebrity Invitational with a partner, professional bowler Tommy Jones. Betts and Jones ended up defeating bowling legend Pete Weber and former All-Pro wide receiver Terrell Owens to win the tournament title.
Betts also bowled in high school and was named the Tennessee Boys Bowler of the Year in 2010.
Betts certainly has plenty more seasons in the majors as he’s blossomed into one of the league’s top stars. However, once the star outfielder decides to hang up his spikes, a professional bowling career may not be out of the question.
