The #6 Purdue Boilermakers and the #16 Ohio State Buckeyes will face off in a Big Ten clash at noon ET Jan. 30 at Mackey Arena. The teams split their matchups last year, with Purdue winning the first 67-65 and the Buckeyes taking the second 87-78.
Purdue was able to grind out a solid win over the Iowa Hawkeyes on Thursday, winning 83-73. Purdue got double-digit scores from four players: guard Isaiah Thompson (18), guard Jaden Ivey (15), guard Sasha Stefanovic (14), and forward Trevion Williams (12).
Meanwhile, while not quite a landslide, the game between OSU and the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Thursday was still a pretty decisive one as OSU wrapped it up with a 75-64 victory on the road. It was another big night for OSU’s forward E.J. Liddell, who posted a double-double on 23 points and 15 boards in addition to five assists.
The Boilermakers are now 17-3 while the Buckeyes sit at 13-4. Purdue is 13-3 after wins this year, OSU 8-4.
